 Round Valley Reservoir Project

PROJECT UPDATE: 04/26/19

The first construction project of the Round Valley Project, grouting of the abutments at the North and South Dams, is scheduled to begin on May 15, 2019. Site preparation work will begin in mid-May, with mobilization of equipment to the site by early June. Work will continue throughout the summer and fall. Site work is expected to be complete by December.

This work will involve heavy equipment including drill rigs drilling and injecting grout into the bedrock below the North and South Dams. The work will occur in restricted portions of the Reservoir and will not affect the public’s use of it.

The segment of County Route 629 that parallels the Reservoir between Old Mountain Road and the Boat Launching area will be closed for approximately six weeks. At this time, the schedule projects road closure to begin in mid-September. Access to the Boat Launching area will remain open. Detour signage will be placed at both ends of the road closure. Specific road closure dates will be announced here when they are established.
